Hudson's Market

Terms of Sale

Hudson's Market LLC · 612 W E Street, Joplin, MO 64801
Last updated October 17, 2026
The short version. The rest of this page says the same things in more detail.

1. Who you are buying from

Hudson's Market is operated by Hudson's Market LLC, a Missouri limited liability company, at 612 W E Street, Joplin, Missouri 64801. In these terms, "we", "us" and "the market" mean Hudson's Market LLC, and "you" means the person buying.

These terms apply to everything you buy from us — in person at the market, through hudsonsmarket.com, or through a payment link we send you directly. By placing an order or completing a purchase, you agree to them.

2. What we sell, and its condition

We sell curated furniture, home goods and decorative items. Some belong to us; many belong to independent vendors who sell through our market, and we handle the sale on their behalf.

Everything is sold as-is, where-is, with all faults. A large part of what we carry is vintage, antique, secondhand or reclaimed. Expect honest wear: marks, scratches, patina, fading, old repairs, and the small irregularities that come with age and handmade work. These are characteristics, not defects, and they are reflected in the price.

We describe and photograph items as accurately as we can, but photographs cannot capture everything, and colors vary between screens. Measurements and descriptions are given in good faith and are approximate. We make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where Missouri law does not allow that warranty to be excluded.

We recommend inspecting anything you plan to buy in person, and measuring your space, doorways and stairwells before buying furniture.

3. Payment

We do not accept cash. Payment is by card or digital wallet only, at the market and online. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude Missouri sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. Payment is due in full at the time of purchase. Nothing is reserved until it is paid for.

If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price — a typing error, a missing digit — we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honor the mistake. We will tell you if this happens.

4. All sales are final

We do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges. This applies to everything, bought any way, and it applies because of what we are: a curated market of one-off and secondhand pieces, most of them sold on behalf of someone else. Once a piece is sold, it is gone and the vendor has been paid.

Please buy carefully. Ask us questions before you pay — we would much rather answer them than have you disappointed.

There are three situations where we will refund you, because they are our problem and not yours:

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be waived, or affects your ability to dispute a charge with your card issuer.

5. Buying online for collection

When you buy online and choose to collect, the piece is set aside for you at 612 W E Street, Joplin, MO. It is yours from the moment you pay, and it comes off the website so nobody else can buy it.

The market trades the second weekend of every month: Friday 1–6pm, Saturday 10am–6pm, Sunday 10am–4pm. You can collect during those hours, or book an earlier time using the scheduling link on your order confirmation. Booking ahead is appreciated — it means we are not pulling a sold piece off the floor in the middle of trading.

Please bring your order confirmation and photo identification. If someone else is collecting on your behalf, email us their name beforehand.

Please collect within 60 days. We have limited storage and no off-site warehouse. If you have not collected within 60 days of purchase and have not arranged something with us in writing, we may treat the item as abandoned and return it to sale, and no refund will be due. If you need longer, just ask — we will almost always say yes if you tell us in advance.

Loading is your responsibility. We will help where we safely can, but we are not furniture movers. Bring suitable transport, straps and, for anything large, a second pair of hands.

6. Delivery

Some items can be delivered. We arrange shipment to the address you give us at checkout.

If we cannot deliver within 30 days of your order, we will contact you and you may choose to keep waiting or cancel for a full refund. If we cannot reach you, we will cancel and refund automatically.

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. Inspect your item on arrival and tell us within 5 days if anything is wrong, with photographs. Keep the packaging until you are satisfied — carriers usually require it for a damage claim.

7. Vendor items

Many pieces at the market belong to independent vendors who rent space from us. When you buy one, we take the payment and handle the sale, and these terms govern it exactly as they do our own stock. Vendor pieces are one of a kind, which is why they are available for collection at the market only.

8. Prices, availability and the website

Prices and availability can change without notice, and listings can be withdrawn at any time. We try to keep the website in step with the floor, but the market is busy and a piece can sell in person moments before someone buys it online. If that happens, we will contact you and refund you in full.

We may refuse or cancel any order, including after it is placed. If we do, you get a full refund and we will tell you why.

Everything on this website — text, photographs, the Hudson's Market name and logo — belongs to us or to our vendors, and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission.

9. Your information

We collect only what we need to complete your order: your name, email address, and a delivery address where one applies. We use it to fulfill your order and to contact you about it.

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach us. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We will only email you about things other than your order if you have asked us to, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent Missouri law allows, our total liability for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the item concerned. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses.

Furniture and home goods, particularly older pieces, can be heavy, unstable or contain materials no longer used today, including lead-based paint in some items made before 1978. Inspect, secure and use what you buy sensibly, and keep children and pets in mind. Items sold as decorative are not certified for structural, electrical or food-contact use. Older lighting and electrical items should be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Jasper County, Missouri.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force for your purchase is the one published on this page at the time you paid. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
